The DuPont Circle Hotel, Washington, D.C. | Jen & Greg

When you go to a wedding, it is normal to expect to see and experience traditional celebrations; the bouquet toss, the parents walking their beautiful daughter down the aisle to give her away, a delicious dinner and incredible desserts, and speeches by friends who are close to the Bride and Groom. What you don’t expect, I would argue, are likely your favorite parts of someone else’s wedding day. For me, that can sometimes be the simplest thing such as a detail the couple incorporated. It can be the way I felt walking into the bridal suite at the beginning of the day, welcomed by an incredibly warm bridal party. Maybe it’s your stunning venue choice. Often times, it’s your ceremony that is my favorite part of the day. Jen & Greg’s wedding at The DuPont Circle Hotel was all that, and more. But, my FAVORITE part of the day, were the speeches. And that is rare!

There were several speeches given during their reception. And you know what was rare? EACH speech given was emotional. It was clear to both Andrew and I, just how SPECIAL this couple was to every single person in the room. Jen & Greg aren’t just “great” for each other — they are who the other has been waiting for. And they are who everybody else has been waiting for, too. You could hear it in the voices, see it in the tears and the beaming smiles all around the room. It is so evident that this duo is nothing short of spectacular together.

Jen & Greg chose to incorporate several meaningful details to highlight Jen’s grandmother, Sybil. Her earrings, a beautiful handkerchief, a sewn-patch onto her wedding dress, and a bracelet. What a day. We are confident that we work with the best bride’s & groom’s. Jen & Greg, thank you for letting us be a part of not only your wedding day, but your lives!
