I know you all have been waiting for this blog post. I’ve never gotten so many direct messages on social media about a dress before. So, here it is, in all of it’s beauty! The best part of the dress (besides the bow), was Kelly. Honestly, you have to be like Kelly to pull off this incredibly sweet, feminine, and romantic dress. This dress represents some of the most beautiful parts of who Kelly is, and I just LOVE that about their day!
Kelly & Brian were a couple that I got to know over the last year. And in that year, they got engaged, began planning a wedding, were enjoying their jobs, friends, and lives in D.C., and then unexpectedly a job offer in New York City! So, they moved to New York a few months before their big day. Planning from afar, knowing only few people, besides each other, and very quickly, off they went. Just before Kelly left to join Brian, I had the chance to meet her for dinner (pizza & wine, obviously!). For me, it was a memorable evening with a client turned friend. We talked about their wedding, but we also got to talk about life and get to know each other on a more personal level.
I think that dinner is so much of who Kelly and Brian are; good friends to their tribe; rooted in love; always seeking to grow together. They are a family… a unit. They are romantic, and they are still falling in love. And I love that about them. It was such an honor to play a role in their wedding day. You’ll be able to sense their sweetness through these images. I hope you enjoy!
